Last week in the veggie box, I got more green beans, so today I finally
got around to eating them, or most of them. Unfortunately, I sort of
carmelized them because I decided to play on the computer while they
steamed. Fortunately, it actually tasted carmelized instead of burnt. I
made some version of a honey balsamic sauce to put on them, and that
turned out fine though I erred on the side of vinegar. Zozo came over to
smell what I was doing and had a really funny sneezing fit after
smelling the vinegar. Jaxby also tried to help cook by curling up in the
frying pan while I was trimming the ends from the green beans. Super
cute, intensely unsanitary, and of course he got up before I got the
camera to take a picture of Cat: Pre-Saute.
If I ever cook food
for you, I promise I will have washed out the pans before cooking in
them and will not let my cats sneeze into your food.
